Scope and contact

This policy covers Pelican Speak (鹈鹕开口说), the iPhone and iPad app published by yushen zhang, and this support website. Contact: telegram2ai@gmail.com. Pelican Speak is separate from Pelican Ride and has different microphone permissions.

Microphone and English speech recognition

The app requests microphone and speech recognition permission only when you choose to start speaking practice. Audio is passed to Apple's on-device English speech recognizer to identify the current word. The app requires on-device recognition; if the device or required system resources are unavailable, it stops recognition and shows a message rather than falling back to server-based speech recognition.

The app does not save audio recordings or recognized speech as files, upload speech to developer servers, or use speech for advertising or model training. Recognition candidates are processed transiently in memory to decide whether a word matches. Pausing practice or moving the app into the background stops input capture. During examples the recognition request stops and input is muted; the shared audio engine may still cause the system microphone indicator to remain visible. You can revoke microphone and speech permissions in iOS Settings at any time. Speaking gameplay cannot work without the relevant permission and on-device support.

Apple controls system speech resource availability, downloads, operating-system diagnostics and settings under its own policies. These are distinct from the app's forced on-device recognition request. The developer does not receive your voice or transcript through this app.

Local settings and practice records

The app stores language, sound and visual settings, selected topic and lesson, recognition tolerance, example and waiting-time preferences, and word-practice counts/results on your device. These are used to restore preferences, display practice history and offer review words. They do not contain recordings or recognized transcripts. The app has no account, developer-operated server, cloud sync, advertising, third-party analytics SDK or cross-app tracking.

Practice records remain until you clear them from the course screen or delete the app and its data. Clearing practice records does not delete general sound/language preferences. Deleting the app and its data removes the app's local files; offloading the app may preserve data. System device backups may include app files depending on your settings. Manage or delete those backups through Apple system settings.

Purchases and support correspondence

Apple processes App Store purchases; we do not receive full payment card information. The app offers one in-app purchase, “Unlock Full Version”, processed by Apple; we do not receive payment details. There are no subscriptions. If you voluntarily email support, we receive your email address, message and attachments to respond to your request. This is separate from the game's on-device processing. Please do not send voice recordings, sensitive information or unnecessary information about a child.

Support correspondence is kept only as needed to handle the request and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. You may request access, correction or deletion of personal information in support correspondence at the email above, subject to applicable obligations. We do not sell support information or use it for advertising.

External services and this website

Support, email and privacy links open only when you select them. This website contains no advertising, analytics scripts, tracking cookies or contact form. GitHub Pages hosts the website and may process technical access records, such as IP addresses and request information, to operate and secure its service. Apple, your email provider and GitHub handle their services under their respective policies. Opening an external link is separate from the app's local gameplay.

Young users and policy updates

The app does not collect voice or personal profiles from users of any age. An adult should help a young user understand device permissions and avoid sharing personal information in support messages. If you believe a support message contains a child's unnecessary personal information, contact us to request deletion. If data handling changes, this policy and its effective date will be updated.

麦克风与英语识别

只有选择开始朗读练习时，App 才申请麦克风和语音识别权限。音频交给 Apple 的设备端英语识别器，用于判断当前单词。应用强制本机识别；设备或所需系统资源不支持时，停止识别并提示，不会转为服务器语音识别。

App 不把录音或识别文字保存成文件，不向开发者服务器上传语音，不将语音用于广告或模型训练。候选文字只在内存中短暂用于匹配单词。暂停或进入后台会停止输入采集。播放示范时停止识别请求并静音输入；共用音频引擎期间，系统麦克风指示仍可能显示。可随时在 iOS 设置中撤销麦克风与语音识别权限；没有相应权限或本机识别支持时，无法使用朗读玩法。

系统语音资源的可用性、下载、系统诊断和设置由 Apple 按其政策管理，与本 App 强制使用设备端识别的请求不同。开发者不会通过本 App 收到你的语音或转写内容。

本机设置与练习记录

App 在设备上保存语言、声音和画面设置、主题与课程选择、读音宽松度、领读与等待时间，以及单词练习次数和结果，用于恢复偏好、显示练习历史和提供复习词。记录不含录音或识别转写。应用没有账号、开发者服务器、云同步、广告、第三方分析 SDK 或跨应用追踪。

练习记录保留至你在课程页清除，或删除 App 及其数据。清除练习记录不会删除通用声音和语言偏好。删除 App 及其数据会移除本机文件；系统“卸载 App”可能保留数据。设备备份可能按系统设置包含这些文件，请通过 Apple 系统设置管理或删除备份。

购买与支持邮件

App Store 购买由 Apple 处理，我们不接收完整银行卡信息。应用提供一项由 Apple 处理的 App 内购买“解锁完整版”，我们不接收付款信息；没有订阅。若主动发送支持邮件，我们会收到你的邮箱地址、内容和自愿提供的附件，用于回复问题；这与游戏中的本机处理分开。请勿发送录音、敏感信息或不必要的儿童信息。

支持邮件仅在解决问题及履行适用记录保存义务所需的期限保留。可通过上述邮箱请求访问、更正或删除支持通信中的个人信息，我们会在适用义务允许的范围处理。我们不出售支持信息，不将其用于广告。

外部服务与本网站

只有你选择后，App 才会打开支持、邮件或隐私链接。本网站没有广告、分析脚本、追踪 Cookie 或在线表单。GitHub Pages 提供托管，可能为运行和安全处理 IP 地址及请求信息等技术访问记录。Apple、邮件服务商及 GitHub 各自依其政策处理服务。外链访问与本地游戏玩法相互独立。

App 不收集任何年龄用户的语音或个人档案。成年人应协助年轻用户理解设备权限，并避免在支持通信中分享个人信息。若支持邮件含不必要的儿童个人信息，请联系我们要求删除。数据处理方式变化时，我们会更新本政策与生效日期。
